Organization to award athlete-donated medals to patients with chronic illnesses

• WHAT:
  Medals4Mettle is a non-profit organization that facilitates the gifting of marathon, half marathon, and triathlon finishers’ medals from runners to children with chronic or debilitating illnesses that have demonstrated similar mettle, or courage in bravely facing the challenges they face with their illness. These children might not be able to run a race, but are in a race of their own to live their life. Even though the medal might not be able to cure a disease, it can help lift a child’s spirit.
