The “Friends of Metro Search and Rescue” Las Vegas Balloon Festival will be held this Friday, Nov. 2 to Sunday, Nov. 4 at Southern Hills Hospital. The events are free to attend unless noted, open to the public, weather-dependent and subject to change.
Several hot air balloon companies will participate in balloon launches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings and a Saturday evening “Glow.” Balloon rides will be available to the public daily (cost is $250/person; registration is onsite and space is limited).
Community vendors and other balloon activities will be available at various dates and times with a health fair on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 3 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Festival proceeds from the balloon rides benefit “Friends of Metro Search and Rescue,” an organization of paid and non-paid professionals dedicated to saving lives through rescue, emergency medicine, and safety education.
The Saturday afternoon health fair will also include free blood pressure checks, no cost flu and Tee-Dap vaccines for those over six months, on a first come, first serve basis. Plus, you’ll be able to check out the new operating rooms of the future, carnival rides and much more! Admission is free. The event benefits Friends of Metro Search and Rescue.
